What is required to deposit funds into the registry? Can someone deposit funds for me?

registry fees

In order for funds to be deposited into the court registry, an order (reason) for the deposit is required.  For example, in an eviction, the summons gives this information. Only cash or certified funds may be deposited.  If the respondent is unable to personally deposit funds, another individual may do so for them.

Registry fees apply in either case and are assessed to the amount of 3% of the first $500 and 1.5% of any amount over that.
