How Do I Modify/Correct FJ of Dissolution of Marriage

If the Final Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage was issued 90 days ago or more:

  • $50 reopen fee.
  • Must file a request/motion to correct and/or modify the final judgment.
  • Must sign an acknowledgment for the pro se coordinator.
  • May be required to attend mediation (depending on the request). Mediation fees may apply.
  • Complete a designation of email address form with the clerk.

If the Final Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage was issued less than 90 days ago:

  • Must file a request/motion to correct and/or modify the final judgment.
  • Must sign an acknowledgment for the pro se coordinator.
  • May be required to attend mediation (depending on the request). Mediation fees may apply.
  • Complete a designation of email address form with the clerk.

File a written motion/request to modify your Final Judgment of Dissolution with the clerk. Once the motion/request has been filed, the clerk will give forms to complete and return. 

You will be given a pro se coordinator to assist in the process to modify/change or correct the Final Judgment of Dissoution of Marriage. 

The clerk cannot provide legal advice and/or complete motions/request for you. If you need legal advice, you will need to speak with an attorney.
