How do I receive the certificate after serving on jury duty? Will I be paid for jury service? How am I paid?

Please go to our website www.okaloosaclerk.com from home page select Jury Service Info (green box left side of screen). 

Select the box that says "click here to E-respond" sign in to the e-response using your candidate ID number and date of birth, and check the box that indicates you "swear or affirm..." then select log-in. 

At bottom of screen choose "Print Letters" on left side click on box "attendance letter for employer". You may then print the attendance letter.

Compensation: Florida Statute 40.24

(3)(a) Jurors who are regularly employed and who continue to receive regular wages while serving as a juror are not entitled to receive compensation from the clerk of the circuit court for the first 3 days of juror service.

(b) Jurors who are not regularly employed or who do not continue to receive regular wages while serving as a juror are entitled to receive $15 per day for the first 3 days of juror service.

(4) Each juror who serves more than 3 days is entitled to be paid by the clerk of the circuit court for the fourth day of service and each day thereafter at the rate of $30 per day of service.

(5) Jurors are not entitled to additional reimbursement by the clerk of the circuit court for travel or other out-of-pocket expenses.

When you come in for jury duty, you will be provided an empty payment card (Court Funds Mastercard), within 7 business days of your report date or at the conclusion of the trial your card will be loaded with your appropriate payment.
